Meet the Lake View Staff!
What is your role at Lake View? I strive to make everything + everyone work together for the good of God’s Kingdom. I work to carry out Lake View’s mission to provide a broken world with an environment where lives encounter God’s love + are being transformed by the hope that Christ gives; as well as, the vision to provide a Christian ministry where all people are welcomed + loved, + thus feel the presence of God.
What is your go-to Dutch pastry? That’s a tough one. I’m going to have to say Lake View’s Double Dutch Delight. This can only be found at Lake View’s Tulip Time Stand :)
What is your favorite Bible verse? “For God so loved the world that He gave His one + only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” John 3:16-17
What makes you laugh the most? My grandkids, or any children for that matter.
What is your role at Lake View? Creating a large group worship experience. Walking campers through the daily camp schedule + activities so they know what, when, where, + how. Cultivating a great physical, spiritual, + emotional experience.
What is your favorite season? Summer. I like the hot temperatures + the fact that it’s CAMP SEASON!
What is your favorite Bible verse? “Neither do I condemn you; go, + from now on sin no more.” John 8:11. This verse shows a true reflection of the heart of Jesus.
If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go? Hawaii. That’s been the coolest place Diana + I have vacationed.
What is your role at Lake View? Anything to do with finances + record-keeping. AKA: the real boss of the office :)
What is your go-to Dutch pastry? Pizza or ham + cheese sandwich. Oh wait, those aren’t Dutch. But really, Dutch Letters!
What is your favorite Bible verse? “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer + petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6
What makes you laugh the most? The silly things my kids say + do.
What is your role at Lake View? During the summer, I oversee our wonderful Camp Counselors. During the rest of the year I recruit + hire these Camp Counselors (apply HERE), organize + plan retreats, bombard your Facebook + Instagram with pictures + camp updates.
What is your favorite season? Fall! I love watching the leaves change color, running in its perfect temperatures, + eating/drinking anything pumpkin flavored.
What is one thing on your “bucket list”? Hike all 53 14,000+ foot mountains in Colorado.
Who is your favorite Bible person? Lydia from Thyatira (Acts 16:13). In every place that Paul visited on his journeys he would find a synagogue so he could preach, but there wasn’t one in Philippi. Instead, he heard of a group of women that met outside the city along the river to pray. He joined them + shared about Jesus. That’s where he met Lydia – the leader of the group of women. Lydia is one of my favorites because she encouraged + fought for sisterhood. I’m not always good at this, but living + fighting for sisterhood like Lydia is what I strive to do.
What is your role at Lake View? Changes from day to day, but ranges from planning Bible Studies + Angel Tree retreats to cleaning toilets.
What is one thing on your “bucket list”? I love other cultures + getting to know people, so I would like to live in another country for at least a year. Also, to go see Bioluminescent Bays in Puerto Rico or Australia (look them up).
What makes you laugh the most? Children!
Who is your favorite Bible person? Paul. I love his writings. He’s blunt + puts people in their place.

This passage reminds me that God will keep me safe + send His angels to guard my ways!
