Text Box: Camping is a year-round job and volunteers and support are needed all year to make this ministry a success.  Lake View thrives because so many people give generously of their gifts, time, and money to support Lake View's camping ministry. We ask you to consider how you can partner with us in this exciting ministry! Volunteers come in a variety of ages and all with different gifts and abilities. If you have a heart for the camping ministry we can find a place to use those gifts! Pray about it and see if God is calling you to be a part of this growing ministry!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Adult Camp Counselors - Each summer Lake View holds a number of camps that need volunteer counselors.  Volunteer counselors are needed to supplement Lake View's summer staff, allowing the young people who attend camp to get lots of individual attention.
Mail Crew - Throughout the year, Lake View needs help mailing registration forms and newsletters. Please call or e-mail if you would like to help with the next mailing.
Skilled Labor - As Lake View begins planning for the new camp site, skilled labor will be needed. Lake View needs the gifts of people who are talented in hands-on work like plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, cement work, or any other special skills. Please call or e-mail and let us know how you are willing to help.
Drivers - Each year, Lake View hosts a number of Angel Tree camps.  Because many of the children attending these camps are from low-income, single parent homes, Lake Views offers transportation to and from camp for these children.  Please call or e-mail if you are willing to give a day this summer to transport kids. Campers come from all across the state of Iowa.
Camp Nurse or Doctor - We need certified nurses or doctors who are willing to spend a week during the summer at camp as “Camp Nurse” or “Camp Doctor.”
Fill Back Packs - Each Angel Tree camper receives a back pack when they get to camp. We need volunteers to fill back packs with things campers will need during the week like a towel, shampoo, soap, camera, Bible, etc. The back packs and Bibles are provided by Prison Fellowship. Please call or e-mail if you or your organization is willing to help with this project.
Fundraising and/or Development Support - We need people who have gifts in fundraising or development and are willing to share these gifts to help build a permanent site for Lake View.

PRAYER!
Prayer is one way that everyone can be involved with this ministry. Prayer support is always needed and appreciated! Please pray for this ministry, for God’s guiding hand as we move forward, for staff, and for all who attend our camps.
